I was born and raised on the family farm in Clonakilty, County Cork until I went to Dublin to study medicine at Trinity College. After my internship and GP training, I moved to Wexford in 1998 where I worked as a GP until I set up my own practice with Dr. Liz O’Sullivan in Rosslare Strand in 1999. I worked as a full time GP in Co. Wexford before my election to the Dail in 2002.
I am married to Dr. Liz. O'Sullivan and we have three children.
